About Tenovate-M Cream
Tenovate-M Cream is an extremely potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammations by dampening the action of the causative agent. It contains Clobetasol and Miconazole. Clobetasol is a steroid that stops the production of prostaglandins. Miconazole is an antifungal that prevents fungal growth. Therefore, it finds use in the treatment of redness and itching due to eczema, allergic reactions, dermatitis, psoriasis etc. It can also treat autoimmune diseases like vitiligo, alopecia areata, and lichen sclerosus.
The side effects of Tenovate-M Cream, although rare, include burning, dryness, and redness of the skin. It can also cause a cough, body pain, headache, and sore throat. If these side effects persist, consult a doctor. This medicine should not be prescribed to patients who are allergic to Tenovate-M Cream or younger than 12 years old. Do not use the medicine without consulting the doctor first.

Clobetasol(primary constituent of Tenovate-M Cream) belongs to corticosteroids. It works as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid by inhibiting phospholipase A2 thus inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. It also inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450 14-alpha-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.
