Timolet Plus Eye Drop

Timolet Plus Eye Drop is a beta-blocker. It treats ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma. It functions by controlling fluid over-production and pressure inside the eye thus preventing the chances of blindness. This medication can be taken both orally or as an eye-drop.

On using Timolet Plus Eye Drop you may experience certain side-effects such as blurred vision, burning sensation of the eyes, drying of the eyes, headache, seizures, night blindness, Eye pain, Headache, tiredness, loss of memory and a constant feeling of general illness.

Do not use this medication if you have any of the following condition. If you have asthma, have lung/ heart/ kidney/liver disorders, decreased blood circulation to the brain, have myasthenia gravis, diabetes, are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are nursing a baby.

The dosage will be determined by your doctor based on your medical history and current condition. The usual dose for adults in case of eye drop usage is about 0.25%, taken once or twice a day. Before administering the medication ensure to wash your hands.

Timolet Plus Eye Drop is a blend of two drugs: Timolol and Pilocarpine. Timolol is a beta obstructer while Pilocarpine is cholinergic agonist. They perform its action by reducing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.
