Tixylix Alert Syrup

This is the syrup used for the treatment of dry cough and is a combination of two medicine which includes Promethazine and Pholcodine. This syrup is also used for treating allergies with symptoms like a runny nose, hives, and watery eyes.

The syrup is not for children under the age of 2. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers must consult the doctor before taking this medication as there can be various side effects.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  If you miss a dose of Promethazine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  In case of overdose, consult your doctor.

This syrup works via dual mechanism and includes two medicine which is Promethazine and Pholcodine. Promethazine works as an antiallergic and blocks the action of histamine which triggers the cough due to allergy. Pholcodine works as a cough suppressant and reduces the activity of the cough center in the brain.
