About Torex Sf Syrup

Torex Sf Syrup is a combination medicine and it is used to treat cough. Torex Sf Syrup helps to thin the mucus in the nose and windpipe, making it easier to cough out. Torex Sf Syrup also relieves allergic symptoms like watery eyes, runny rose, sneezing and throat irritation.

It can be taken with or without food in a dose or duration as advised by the doctor. The dose depends upon your condition and how you respond to the medicine.

The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, indigestion, bloating, stomach pain, Headache, rash, sweating. The medicine can also cause sleepiness, so not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.

Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. Before you start taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or if you are planning a pregnancy.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication behaves as an expectorant reduces adhesiveness and surface tension of congealed mucus in the upper respiratory tract to increase the flow of mucous. It also stimulates and increases the efficiency of the cilia to remove the accumulated mucus. It also acts as a synthetic secretolytic agent that helps the natural mechanisms to clear respiratory tract mucus. It increases serious mucus production in the respiratory tract and reduces phlegm viscosity, which helps the cilia to clear mucus from the respiratory tract. Lastly, it also works as an H1 antagonist class of medication, thus produce sedative effects on patients. This drug basically acts against free histamine, as it binds to the HA-receptor sites.
