Trinicalm tablet falls under a category of drugs known as phenothiazine antipsychotics and is composed of Chlorpromazine, Trihexyphenidyl and Trifluoperazine. It is used as a psychiatric medicine. This medication treats mental and mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, ADHD and schizophrenia.

This drug is composed of Chlorpromazine, Trihexyphenidyl and Trifluoperazine. Chlorpromazine is an antipsychotic agent that works as an antagonist of the postsynaptic dopamine and serotonergic-receptors. This reduces the excess dopamine and serotonin in the limbic and cortical areas of the brain, reducing psychotic symptoms. Trihexyphenidyl belongs to anticholinergics. It works by blocking the cholinergic activity in the central nervous system and reduces the body secretions, increases the heart rate, dilates the pupils and reduces spasm of smooth muscle. Trifluoperazine obstructs within the brain the postsynaptic mesolimbic dopaminergic D1 as well as D2 receptors.
