Turbocort Ointment

This medication falls under a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It is used to treat mouth ulcers. It blocks the formation of chemical messengers which causes inflammation or swelling, redness and pain in the mouth. It sticks to the wet surfaces of the mouth and forming a protective film over the ulcer or injured surfaces.

Before using this medication you should inform your doctor if you are allergic to any ingredient contained within this medication or if you are allergic to any food or medicine or substance. If you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs or you have thyroid disorder/herpes/diabetes/kidney disease/high blood pressure, then you must consult the doctor before using this medication. Take medical help if you are pregnant or planning to conceive.

It involve phospholipase A2 inhibitory protein, lipocortins that bring about anti-inflammatory actions. This action is brought about by inhibition of arachidonic acid. It controls biosynthesis of leukotrienes and prostaglandins.
