    How does this medication work?

Tusq is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist belonging to the phenethylamine class, which acts as a nasal decongestant. It works by narrowing the swelling of blood vessels in the ear and nose, thereby providing great relief from discomfort. The other constituents binds to the histamine H1 receptor, which prevents the action from endogenous histamine. And also works as a decongestant by suppressing the nervous system and the part of your brain which is responsible for coughing. It does not really thin the mucus, but certainly provides relief.
