How does this medication work?
Valbet is composed of Beclomethasone, Miconazole, Neomycin. Beclomethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that specifically binds to cytoplasmic receptors. This inhibits leukocyte entry at the inflammation site, interferes in inflammatory response mediator functioning, and reduces edema and scar tissues. Miconazole is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450 14-alpha-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism. Neomycin is an Aminoglycosides. It binds itself to 30S-subunit proteins and also 16S rRNA.
