About Vonaz 50 MG Tablet

Vonaz 50 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of several serious fungal infections. One of them is invasive aspergillosis, an infection that starts in your lungs and gradually spreads to the other organs through the bloodstream. The medicine can also treat esophageal candidiasis which is a yeast infection causing white patches in your mouth and throat. Apart from this, yeast infections of the skin, kidney, stomach, bladder and wounds can also be cured by Vonaz 50 MG Tablet. Belonging to the group of antifungal medicines called triazoles, it works by slowing down the fungal growth that is known to cause the infection.

The salt of Vonaz 50 MG Tablet is also available in tablet and liquid form to be taken orally. The dosage of the medication is decided by your doctor based on your general health, the type of infection you are suffering from and your response to the medication. You need to take this drug at least an hour before or after having your meal.

The common side effects of Vonaz 50 MG Tablet include agitation, anxiety, headache, dry mouth, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting.         Vonaz 50 MG Tablet should not be used if you have any pre-existing heart conditions such as QT Prolongation.

        Kidney Disease

        Suitable adjustment in dosage is required based on the extent of kidney impairment. If the patient is on hemodialysis then the level of this medicine in the blood should be monitored after each session and then the adjusted dose should be administered.
      • Interaction with Food
