About Zaptra LS 12.5 mg/0.25 mg Capsule

Zaptra Capsule is a combination medicine consisting of drugs that belong to the class of an antidepressant & an anti-epileptic. It helps in treating various mental disorders such as OCD, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Tell your doctor if you have any of the following conditions:

  • If you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding a baby.
  • If you have low sodium levels.
  • If you have a history of seizures or epilepsy.
  • If you have a history of glaucoma.
  • If you have liver, heart or kidney diseases.
  • If you are taking any prescriptive or over the counter drugs, herbal medications or dietary supplements.

The dosage for Zaptra Capsule will be prescribed by your doctor as per your medical history, age, gender, the current medical condition & what reactions you have after the first course of medicine.

This medicine works by selectively inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin. This results in higher concentrations of serotonin in the brain. It also helps in inhibiting the synaptic transmission that occurs in the central nervous system. Zaptra Capsule also reduces the use of serotonin by neurons and is used to treat seizures and anxiety.
