About Zenflox-Uti Tablet
Zenflox UTI Tablet is a fluoroquinolone-based antibiotic in combination with smooth muscle relaxant. This antibiotic is effective against gram-negative as well as gram-positive bacteria. It is primarily used to treat urinary tract infection. It is also used to treat tuberculosis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, anthrax and plague.
It can also treat bacterial infections relating to the pelvis, urinary bladder, cervix, urethra, and respiratory system. It impedes the production of enzymes in the bacterial DNA, which aids its growth and survival. Besides killing the bacteria it also inhibits the cell division in the bacteria.
Zenflox UTI Tablet must not be prescribed if the patient has known allergies to it. It may also have adverse side effects on patients with a history of brain disorders, seizures, heart conditions, kidney problems, myasthenia gravis, liver disease, epilepsy, and tendonitis.
Prescribing the medicine to pregnant women, lactating mothers and individuals below 16 years is not advisable. The common side effects of using this medication are headache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, insomnia and dry mouth.
Other severe side effects include hallucinations, tendonitis, mood swings, anxiety, irregular heartbeat, fatigue and a numbing sensation of limbs.
The dosage of this drug should strictly adhere to the guidelines prescribed by the doctor. The duration of use varies from 7 to 14 days but may be more depending on your response to the medicine.
