About Zifi Lbx Plus Tablet

Zifi Lbx Plus Tablet treats bacterial infections including the treatment of otitis media, sinusitis, and infections caused by susceptible organisms involving the respiratory tract, skin, and urinary tract. It interferes with the synthesis of the cell wall in a bacteria and stops it from growing.

This medication is used to treat infections of the lungs and airways, skin, middle ear, sinuses, and the urinary tract. It also treats conditions like tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis and gonorrhea. It is used in the prophylaxis of bacterial endocarditis in patients undergoing surgical or dental procedures

You should not use this antibiotic combination if you are allergic to any penicillin-based antibiotic. These antibiotics can make birth control pills less effective so ask your doctor about using nonhormonal birth control to prevent pregnancy during the treatment.

Take entire prescription, even if you are feeling better. Take at equal intervals around-the-clock. You may experience nausea or vomiting (small frequent meals, frequent mouth care, sucking lozenges, or chewing gum may help).

Common side effects may include stomach pain, nausea and vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, vaginal itching or discharge or swollen or black tongue. Call your doctor at once if you have the following after using this medicine:

  • Diarrhoea, fever, cold or flu symptoms, cough, troubled breathing.
  • Swollen glands, severe skin irritation and rashes or joint pain.
  • Jaundice, confusion or weakness, dark coloured urine.
  • Numbness, severe tingling, pain or muscle weakness.
  • Easy bruising or unusual bleeding of nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum.

You may experience some gastric distress (small frequent meals may help) and diarrhea (if this persists, consult prescriber).

If diabetic, drug may cause false tests with Clinitest® urine glucose monitoring; use of glucose oxidase methods (Clinistix®) or serum glucose monitoring is preferable. This drug may interfere with oral contraceptives; an alternate form of birth control should be used. Report fever, vaginal itching, sores in the mouth, loose foul-smelling stools, yellowing of skin or eyes, and change in color of urine or stool.
