HIV is a type of virus which attacks the immune system of our body. And if this infection isn't treated properly it will lead to a fatal disease AIDS. AIDS can be very dangerous and may cause the death of a patient. HIV virus is spread through anal, oral or vaginal sexual contact. It also spreads through blood, injection, and drug use and breast milk. The series of blood screenings required for the testing of HIV is known as auto western blot test. The tests detect the HIV antibodies in the patient's body. If found positive for HIV experts advise western blot test to confirm HIV infection.
