Just be sure she is not suffering from hepatitis B or C. If not then just take inj T intramuscular If yes which is very rare. You need to take treatment And BTW diabetes is not communicable it does not spread by needle injury but if you remain sedentary n don't exercise regularly there are chances you may get diabetes due to family history.

Insulin pens are available which have a very fine needle making the whole process nearly painless. Also rotate the sites of injection to have less pain.

Cold compresses can help reduce swelling in the area. Cooling also helps to numb sharp pain. Apply an ice pack for up to 20 minutes, up to five times a day. Use a frozen gel pack, ice cubes in a plastic bag, or a bag of frozen peas. Wrap the cold pack in a soft towel. Do not apply a cold pack directly to skin. Heat therapy heat helps to relax tense muscles and soothe a stiff area. It can help with muscle pain and bonny pain. Use a heated gel pack, heating pad or a hot water bottle.

Sir/madam, I am using insulin humalog mix25/75 and using bd needle 4 mm. Some says we should pinch the skin and take insulin shot some says no need to pinching the skin for 4 mm needle. Can I pinch the skin or take directly? I like to pinch the skin for avoiding going into muscle. I take insulin in abdomen. Skin for most people is around 2.7 to 3 mm in thickness. So with 4 mm needles pinching might not be necessary since without pinching also the Insulin would enter subcutaneous tissue and not muscle tissue.

Don't be scared all will be done under local anaesthesia. Just get it done. All will be fine. If there is deep seated infection nweds to be extracted.
