Dear lybrate-user At age 26, varicose veins is a kind of "by birth" situation. It is most likely to be with you for life. You will be able to control their development with laser therapy. Stretching exercises, natural vitamin rich foods will help. Upward massage with til oil will help reduce the burden. Make sure you are active and not sitting most of the time. When sitting/lying down, keep full leg higher than body to help reduce the accumulation. Surgery is not essential unless it stops you form functioning totally. Pomegranate fruit daily. It is known to repair blood vessels. Regards.

Please suggest the name of corn bandage it was badly paining while walking and standing.
A corn bandage you can get easily from any pharmacy but it will only temporarily relieve. To cure it completely I must suggest a proper homeopathic treatment.

Hello, I am a house surgeon at a Govt Hospital. Around 8 days back I was doing rounds of a surgical ward early in the morning and there was a patient who had an RTA (accident) in the previous night, I had to check the status of his lacerated wound which was there on his forehead. Since I was in hurry I touched the roller bandage (on his head) which was blood stained but dry with my bare hand while undressing his wound, but suddenly I realised and wore the gloves and completed the procedure. After finishing everything I was very anxious since I touched the blood stained bandage with my bare hand and I was examining my fingers for presence of any cuts or peeling of skin around the nails again and again but didn't find any, I went home and took a nap. When I woke up, I again started examining my fingers and shockingly I found a minute amount of blood (dry) on the nail bed of my index finger of the hand from which I touched the roller bandage and then I got more scared, I checked my finger for the presence of any trauma but didn't find any and started wondering whether the blood was of the patient whose roller bandage I touched and that patient's Hiv status was unknown which made me more anxious. Before I could go back to the hospital and send his investigations for Hiv and Hbsag tests he was referred to a higher centre and he left and his Hiv status remained unknown. I am still anxious about that incident, so kindly clarify my concern. Thank you.

Dear lybrate-user, 1) The height of the legs should be such that the blood does not accumulate in the legs, so above chest level. 2) when sleeping, it is preferable that you do not use any bandage, since normal circulation to the rest of the leg should become normal. 3) depends on how large and disfigured the varicose veins are, you can extend the time. It should be done only to reduce the accumulation, but not all the time. 4) bandages is ok when you need to be standing or walking for long hours. At your age, 26, if you are going to be doing all this, it will be difficult for you to enjoy any outing. Please see lasertherapy. Co.in There are options that can help you recover to a great extent from varicose veins. Regards.
