I have itchy scalp and hair fall since last 6 months. My crown hair density got low. I consulted a doctor he said I don't have dandruff but whenever I comb my hair dry flakes fall down. He prescribed me dutacet and foligain. Are these medications good? Because I didn't find relief from itching yet.

Hair loss is most commonly caused by anaemia which less hemoglobin. I would suggest you get a hb checked. Start with 1. Cap autrin twice a day 2. Tab keragloweva once a day 3. Foligain lotion at bedtime. Regards.

Hello Lybrate-user! hair loss can be due to various reasons, genetic, hormonal, nutritional, dandruff, stress ,pollution etc. We have to examine the scalp to know the reason for hair loss. Use ketoconozole containing shampoo like head and shoulders, scalpe etc to control dandruff. Continue foligain tablet again .if not responding check your blood tests to rule out any deficiencies.
