glucometer reading shows sugar in the capillary blood, which is invariably about 11% higher than the sugar level in venous blood, particularly when after food blood sugar is tested the difference is more visible. Now a days most glucometers are calibrated to show readings as in the venous blood. Therefore regular monitoring of blood sugars at home glucometers are quite good.

Hello- Erectile dysfunction is a common complication of diabetes. Left untreated, it can erode the quality of life for you and your sexual partner. To combat diabetes and impotence, you need to first control your blood sugar through proper dieting. Avoid tobacco and excessive alcohol consumption, as these conditions can cause other forms of impotence. In addition, supplement your diet with herbs that treat the underlying condition. Taking natural formulas with herbs to boost up testosterone can be of tremendous benefit for men with type II diabetes. Not only can testosterone help enhance erection, but also sensitize a man?s cells to admit glucose more readily.

Bhavyaji, All glucometers produced by reputed companies are good like acucheck, one touch or any other. While using a glucometer you have to prick the tip of the finger for a drop of blood, there is a lancet provided by every company using that is fairly painless. Since finger has to be pricked some pain is bound to be there.
