atopic dermatitis (ad), also known as atopic eczema, is a long-term type of inflammation of the skin (dermatitis).[2] it results in itchy, red, swollen, and cracked skin. You have to follow few precautions and instructions throughout until certain age (probably until 8-9 yrs) 1) limit your bath time to just 5-10 minutes 2) apply oil before bath 3) use only luke warm water for bathing and only mild (liquid cleansing lotions preferably 4) use doctor prescribed moisturiser at least 6-7 times a day 5) keep nails short 6) wear full sleeves loose cotton clothes 7) avoid contact with irritants and detergents 8) avoid dust and dry weather and mites
special focus on to avoid dust, near to grass and flowering plants, extreme temperatures, coloured foods ,preservatives foods (like chips, chocolates, biscuits ,bread etc) ,brinjal, gongura, non veg, avoid perfumes, deodorants, bedbugs etc.
