Simyl-MCT oilSimyl-MCT oil is a medication that contains saturated fatty acids and monounsaturated fatty acid as active ingredients present. It is recommended as nutrition for low birth weight babies and in fat malabsorption. This medication contains Medium Chain Triglycerides which help in weight gain of the child. It is an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory medication that helps to control various infections such as fungal infections, bacterial and viral infections. Simyl-MCT oil is a fat produced from coconut oil and palm kernels.

Simyl-MCT oil can be a useful addition to the diet of those suffering from any form of malnutrition, bloating, infections and other cardiovascular diseases. Medium Chain Triglycerides present in the medication are useful for newborn infants, to both assist their initial growth and to contribute to their physiological development. Many times infants do not pass motion for ten days at a stretch and if the abdomen is hard than we will have to plan for enema

I have delivered at 37th week. My baby was 2.64 kg at the time of discharge the weight decreased as per the normal. At 17th day weight was 2.5 kg and at 22nd day it was 2.61 kg. I am exclusively breastfeeding my child. Is there a need for Lactodex HMF along with Simyl MCT oil. Or I can wait for a few more weeks for my baby health.

No need to give anything to your baby if you breastfeed him/her properly and exclusively. Weight gain has already started and will gradually go on if there is no other problem.
