I am suffering ear pain and some pus is coming from ear. I have visited to doctor he told me there is hole in eardrum .now I feel some hearings loss. So pls advise me for treatment. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to Lybrate. First of all I would like to assure you that you need not worry and it's fully curable. From your history, I guess that you might be suffering from ASOM. The pain, it generally subsides after the discharge starts .The hole in ear drum, it will gradually starts healing once the discharge stops and completes approx by 3 months. Regarding blocking sensation and decreased hearing, it will also resolve once the ear is dry. All you have to take care is to prevent your ear from water entry. Just make a cotton pack mixed with Vaseline and block your ear while bathing. Take your medicine regularly. Only few cases needs myringoplasty operation if does not heal by 3 to 6 months.
