This is for my daughter who is 1 month old. She was born 2.5 kg. Her weight hasn't increased much since then. She drinks Nan Excella Pro and does not feed on breast milk at all. I am concerned about her weight. What should I do?

Best way is to feed exclusively on breast for six months. But when not possible, such a situation arises and is related to feeding difficulties faced by mothers. The concentration of the milk has to be proper. One level spoon per 30 ml. Quantity fed has to be adequate about 100 ml per kg. This needs to be supervised properly by the treating pediatrician by way of regular follow up clinical examinations. If still child has fails to gain weight, then failure to thrive needs further clinical and diagnostic evaluation.
