Monitor your blood sugar and blood pressure levels regularly at home itself. Other things, get following tests done hb, creatinine, serum electrolyte levels, including serum calcium, uric acid, serum albumin and alkaline phosphate. And also twice a year hba1c to check long term blood sugar control.
