My doctor has asked me to take glycomet 500 and istamet 50/5000 1 tablet each 1-0-1 after food. Also asked to take oxra 10 mg in the morning only. Now I feel really tired even after food. I tested my ppbs and found 120 or below after 2 hrs of food and 80-90 before food. Is my medicines more (over dose. I had very serious sweet eating habit in last 6-9 months and the ppbs reached to 400lvele from my 160 level ppbs. Now I am back to strict diet and exercise. Is there is any way I can avoid taking tablets or reduce my doses.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Please let me know hba1c% & lipid profile as well as serum creatinine and urea. Because there is hardly any reason for feeling "weak" following pp 120 mg or a bit lower. Weakness comes only if fasting glucose drops below 70 mg or even lower. So unless I know exact fasting, pp & hba1c% plus the weight, exercise & dietary pattern. So please do come back with those details. Then only I will be able to give a clear suggestion. Thanks.

Your blood sugar level is now normal and not low. you may be feeling weak because of drastic improvement in your sugar levels and sudden changes in diet. you can consult your doctor again regarding reduction in the dose of medicines now. also ensure that you drink enough water
