My wife is diagnosed with psychosis. Is this genetically. What are the chances for her to get pregnant? As she has issues of incorrect periods. Will this genetically disorder get transferred to kids. Please suggest.

Of course, psychoses may have the chances of genetic transmission. If your wife's other physical conditions are normal, the chances for her to carry and give birth to a child is also equal to that of normal women. But, if you are willing to dedicate and involve yourself in giving her the emotional, financial and physical support, and help her get proper psychiatric and other treatments periodically your chances of getting a normal baby is brighter. You can also use the help a" genetic counsellor" who can predict any disorders of the baby in the womb to some extent.
