Dark chocolate with high cacao content has numerous health benefits. Studies show that people who consumed small amounts of dark chocolate with 50% cacao content had witnessed a reduction in blood pressure levels, while those who had dark chocolate with 60% cacao experienced improved blood flow and blood pressure.

Even though chocolate can give you that energy boost, the caffeine content of chocolate is not very high. A glass of chocolate milk or 40gms of chocolate contains just about 6mg of caffeine, which is equivalent to a cup of decaffeinated coffee.

In fact, research conducted by the National Institute of Health suggests that consuming small amounts of chocolate for about 5 days a week can be connected to a lower BMI, even if you don't exercise at all and consume more calories.
