When you are pregnant, your body generates craving as a means of sending you a signal for what is lacking within the body. So cravings like sour foods or ice cream is a way for your body to tell you that there are certain nutrients or minerals that your body requires which may be present in those foods. Although you should give into most of your cravings, in certain cases there may be cravings for food which will not only be harmful for you but your baby as well.
