Why You Must Avoid Having Multiple Sex Partners?

Over the last few decades, the social structure has changed drastically. With people moving out of families for education and employment, they are not constantly watched or monitored. There is also a liberal group of friends, who think it is absolutely fine to drink, smoke, and have casual sex. All this has led to more people with multiple sexual partners. While it is not always unsafe, the number of risky cases are also constantly on the rise. When in doubt that you might have contracted an STD, get yourself tested immediately.

For a person who has multiple sexual partners, the chances of alcohol abuse, tobacco abuse, and substance abuse are very high. Not to blame the individual, the environment is likely to be so. There is a possibility of getting pregnant and not knowing the origin of it. Risk of developing and/or spreading STDs is very high, and as a complication, infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., are highly likely. Do not trust someone you are not very familiar with, however charming that person is.

Those indulging in risky sexual behaviour usually also tend to abuse alcohol. The environment they are in is such that they also may abuse drugs. They could be using these behaviors and casual sexual relationships as a vent out for their poor social and/or family standing. Thus, it is highly likely that people with multiple sexual partners be treated with a little more concern and not just for transmitting STDs. When you look closely, these people could be from weak or broken families, and so a social concern too.

Using a condom does not ensure you are protected from STDs or pregnancies. And the chances that a person will be forthcoming frankly about his STD history is also highly unlikely. Just to avoid the risk, it is always better to avoid multiple partners, especially unknown people. It is for your own good. Period Always be assertive on getting to know someone before engaging in sex.
