Under Eye Dark Circles - Do You Think You Know About Managing Them?

Wearing spectacles and sunglasses does not cause the formation of under-eye circles. On the contrary, sunglasses can prevent the formation of those circles that are caused by darkening of skin due to sun exposure. It is highly recommended that sunglasses be worn at all times while venturing out in the sun in order to prevent under-eye circles from appearing and becoming more prominent.

Oranges and other citrus fruits such as lemons and tangerines are loaded with vitamin C which helps in the reduction of under-eye circles. However, it is important to note that only freshly squeezed juices will do the trick for you. Canned and packaged juices contain added preservatives which negate the effect of the nutrients contained in the fruit and make your under-eye circles appear more striking.

The colour of fruit is quite irrelevant. Blackberries and dried prunes are actually very good for treating under-eye circles as they are rich in vitamin K and other nutrients that contain anti-inflammatory qualities which help in the reduction of dark circles and puffiness in the eyes. Other fruits that have high quantities of vitamin K include kiwis, avocados, figs and grapes.

The antioxidants in tea help reduce inflammation and are an easy way to treat under-eye circles. After finishing your cup of tea, simply take the moist tea bags and pop them into the refrigerator for some time. When the bags are cold, lie down on your back and place them on top of your eyelids for a couple of minutes. You will notice that the circles under your eyes are noticeably lighter and that the puffiness has also reduced.
