Although alopecia is directly linked to being a genetic disorder, it is basically the white blood cells in the body rebelling and attacking the hair follicles of your own body instead of existing in a protective function thereby causing the hair follicles to be damaged and impairing their growing properties also causing the hair to fall out in patches. Diet is a major contributing factor in the making or breaking of a T.E cycle. The damage from T.E is not permanent but it can result from an unhealthy and non- nutritious diet. Limiting your calorie intake can lead to T.E as well as increasing it by leaps and bounds as is the case when you consume fast foods. Fast food is only a lot of processed fat and unhealthy if indulged in regularly. Fluctuations in weight can lead to T.E as well.
