DVT usually occurs in the veins of the legs and have no identifiable or noticeable symptoms. In most of the cases, the symptoms are similar to other problem symptoms. There are a few symptoms but they are very common and person or doctor may get confused. Some of the most common symptoms of DVT are: Pain in the legs while sitting or standing for a long time Swelling in the legs Tenderness in the legs while walking or standing Warm skin on the leg Red or discolored skin on the leg Blood coughing Chest pain Chest tightness Pain in the arm, shoulder, or jaw Pain while breathing Fast and rapid heartbeat Severe lightheadedness These symptoms are very common and can indicate many problems including DVT.

DVT is a disorder in which the blood clot occurs in the veins deep inside the body. This can occur due to any reasons. However, the most common risk factors that may lead to DVT are Smoking, Genetical Blood Clot Disorder, and Heart Failure. Some people are prone to this type of disease because of their genes. It may occur due to the inherited problem of blood clotting that passes from one generation to others. Smoking is also a common factor which increases the risk of blood clotting in the leg as it affects the blood circulation of the body. Similarly, heart failure may also interrupt the blood circulation of the body and increases the risk of DVT.

DVT can occur because of many reasons. However, one of the common reasons due to which people experience this problem is sitting or standing for a long period of time. When a person remains still for a long period of time, his/her calf muscles don t contract which results in interrupting the blood circulation of the body. Due to the abnormal or restricted blood flow, clots may occur in the calves of the legs which increases the risk of DVT.

Exercise is one of the best ways to prevent DVT. The disorder mainly occurs due to abnormal blood circulation. This is why exercising is very beneficial for DVT. Exercises like walking, cardio, compound exercises, etc., will help increase the blood flow in the body.
