A ketogenic diet regimen is used to control seizures during epilepsy treatment. A ketogenic diet is rich in fat but low in carbohydrates with low to moderate amount of protein. Allow the patient to move or shake and do not try to restrict their movements by holding them. Instead, roll the patient on one side and cushion the head of the patient by keeping something under the head. Loosen the clothing, if the patient is wearing something tight in the neck area.

The medications should be taken at time and dose should not be missed as a missed medication is one of the leading reasons that may trigger a seizure.
