About Leekuf Tablet

Leekuf Tablet is used to reduce chest congestion caused by the infections, common cold or allergies. Being an expectorant, it works by loosening congestion in your throat and chest, making it easier to cough out through the mouth.

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. It is not recommended for use in children younger than 4 years old. It is also advised to not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about your health condition and current medications.

You should get medical help immediately if you experience any signs of severe allergic reactions such as difficult breathing, hives, swelling of your tongue, face, lips or throat. Less serious Leekuf Tablet side effects may include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headache, a rash or stomach upset.

The dosage for children and adults is different and is determined by the doctor based on your medical condition. The recommended dose for adults is 200 to 400 mg, taken orally every 4 hours as needed. The maximum dose for a day should not exceed 2.4 gm/day.

Take only as prescribed; do not exceed prescribed dose or frequency. Maintain adequate hydration (2-3 L/day of fluids unless instructed to restrict fluid intake).

You may experience some drowsiness (use caution when driving or engaging in tasks requiring alertness until response to drug is known). Report excessive drowsiness, difficulty breathing, or lack of improvement or worsening or condition.

    Leekuf Tablet is an expectorant which reduces adhesiveness and surface tension of congealed mucous in the upper respiratory tract to increase the flow of mucous, stimulating and increasing efficiency of the cilia to remove the accumulated mucous. It increases serious mucus production in the respiratory tract and reduces phlegm viscosity, which helps the cilia to clear mucus from the respiratory tract. Also, it binds to the histamine H1 receptor, which prevents the action from endogenous histamine. Lastly, it works as a decongestant by suppressing the nervous system and the part of your brain which is responsible for coughing. It does not really thin the mucus, but certainly provides relief.
