About Megapime 1000 MG Injection

Megapime 1000 MG Injection cures bacterial infections like pneumonia, skin infections, kidney as well as urinary tract infections. The injection can be classified as cephalosporin antibiotics and treats high fever having a greater risk of an infection, due to the low white blood cell count. The medication kills the bacteria and prevents the infection from spreading in the body. It is administered by an injection into a vein or a muscle, as instructed by your doctor.

The dosage of Megapime 1000 MG Injection depends on your overall health condition, the infection you are suffering from and your body’s reaction to the first dose. In case you are taking this medication at home, ensure that you have complete knowledge regarding the preparation and usage. Continue using it till the time you have been prescribed by the doctor, even if you feel that you are getting better. Stopping it abruptly in the middle of the course can result in the returning of the infection. Also, do not take two doses to make up if you have missed a dose previously.

        You may experience nausea or vomiting, increased or decreased urination, sudden weight gain, and fluid retention if these medicines are used together.         Ethinyl Estradiol

        The desired effect of contraceptive pills will not be achieved if these medicines are taken together. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement of the medicine should be made under the doctor's supervision.

        Cholera Vaccine

        You should avoid taking Cholera vaccine for atleast 14 days after taking Megapime 1000 MG Injection. Usage of other antibiotics and vaccines should be reported to the doctor.

        Furosemide

        You may experience nausea or vomiting, increased or decreased urination, sudden weight gain, and fluid retention if these medicines are used together. This interaction is more likely to occur in the elderly population with preexisting kidney disease. Regular kidney function tests are to be performed and appropriate dose adjustments or replacement of the medicine should be made under the doctor's supervision.

        Impaired Liver Function

        Do not use this medication if you have any liver disease or a family history of liver disease to avoid any undesired effect.

        Seizure Disorders

        Patients suffering from a seizure disorder or a family history of seizures should exercise caution while using this medication. In such cases, it is advised to use some other safer alternative of this medication.
