The people of Korea take their daily skincare routine very seriously and this is obvious because of their glowing skin. Korea's skincare has taken the world by storm. This glowing skin is not totally genetic. This glowing skin is a result of hydrating extracts from natural sources and because of a very extensive skincare routine. In Korea, there are a lot of naturally occuring hydrating extracts.

Glass skin is a flawless-skin without any pores and is translucent. Glass skin is also bouncy like the baby-skin. Korean's skin is regarded as the healthiest skin. This skincare routine for glass skin originated in Korea and this trend has now reached India and other parts of the world too.

Achieving this kind of skincare is not at all easy, this requires and is a result of a very strict skincare routine and a healthy lifestyle. You need to understand that the secret is not in products but it is in the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. When you eat well and live well, your skin will start to glow from within and the enhancement of the skin is further done by skincare routines. You should understand and accept the fact that this can not be achieved overnight.

Korea's glass skin care routine has certain steps and they are listed below: To attain the glass skin these all are essential products and routine:

Cleaning with water/oil and foam cleansers ( double cleansing of your skin):  Double cleansing is considered to be the basis for Asian skincare. Cleansing is very important at night time because you have dirt and make up on your skin and this can be removed during the skincare routine.

On the cleaning pad take some of the cleanser and clean your face properly. Green tea cleansing water can be used because it contains Jeju green tea extracts which are squeezed into it. Oli cleanser is recommended because it meets all the makeup on the face. Gently remove the makeup ( eyeliner and kajal if you had them on).

Follow this procedure with a gentle foaming cleanser which clears out dirt and residual oil from the face.

Exfoliate away

This is a very essential step to remove the dead skin cells and other build ups on the surface of the skin which makes it very clean and flawless. Exfoliation is also responsible for the better absorption of other skincare products as well.

Application of toners

Primarily the toner was made up of alcohol. Because of its formulation by alcohol, dryness of skin happens after toner is applied. The concept of toners in Korea is different from that of other places. In Korea, you will find that toners mostly come as a package with hydro boosting and moisturizing properties . After cleansing your skin twice the pores will open up and toner will maintain the pH level of the skin by closing the pores again.

Usage of essence in skincare routine

Because of unfamiliarity with Asian skincare we would not know what essence is or what is its significance. Essence is not a serum instead it is a thinner which is totally based upon water which increases the ability of your skin for moisture retention. Glass skin glow is often addressed with essence being specific with skin type.

Following essence with use of face oil or serum

Serum and face oil are considered to be indispensable when we talk about how to get glass skin glow. Serum usually does not hydrate your skin instead it helps in correction of skin texture and reduction of signs of aging. Serums which contain Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid are helpful in boosting moisture in the skin and helps keep us a baby soft skin. Serums made up of green tea seed ( contains amino acids and green tea oil) are the most recommended.

Moisturization

We should layer our skin with a smooth and gentle moisturizer. This instantly provides hydration to our skin. We should buy only those moisturizers which are gentle to our skin, are light and absorb very quickly.

Sunscreen

Without sunscreen no skincare routine is considered to be completed in Korea. You are going to find this product with all the Koreans as it is a must have product for them. We damage our skin too much with its excessive exposure to the sun and pollution as we grow old. So before you go out do not forget to apply sunscreen. This will help your skin remain glowy and free from dirt and damage.

Face masks

Korean people love using sheet masks and it is their favorite part of the skincare routine. They provide the best hydration to the skin and give us the best glow (instantaneous). They are packed with so many different types of ingredients such as rice water, green tea, potato, shea butter and so on. Sometimes they can help soothe inflammation in the skin. This is a must have product for all those people who have sensitive skin. The choice of the sheet mask should be done according to your face type, skin type and other concerns.
