What is laparoscopy?

Laparoscopy is visualizing the internal organs through a fiber optic cable on the screen and then achieving the surgical output from very small punctures with the small instruments. The advantages of laparoscopy is significant. We don’t have to open the abdominal cavity, we don’t have to open the tummy and put the hands inside. The delicate and small hand instruments to use are able to point from small punctures and the channels which we create and the magnification that we achieve through the fiber optic cable going inside allows us to have us a very precise output as far as a surgery is concern. And now the technological advancement of 3D laparoscopy allows us the perfect perception whereby we able to achieve the correction of the tissues with minimum tissue trauma and minimum amount of bleeding. And since there is hardly any bleeding and hardly any tissue trauma the end result for the patient is very comfortable. The healing is brilliant and the patient does not feel like any surgery or any major procedure has been done. In fact most of the laparoscopic surgeries and the 3D surgeries which we are doing in our day care procedures where by the patient can go home in the evening itself. Irrespective of the size of the fibroid whether it is a small 5cm or large 20 cm fibroid we are able to remove fibroid or the uterus with fibroid as a day care procedure.
