Breasts may lose their elasticity, firmness and fullness due to a variety of reasons. The reasons and effects, in turn, make women more self-conscious; so they go in for Breast Lift procedures.
Breasts can sag due to:
- Pregnancy
- Breast-feeding
- Gravity
- Heredity
- Aging
- Weight fluctuations
Complications after the surgery
The chances of getting any complication after a breast lift surgery are usually rare. But some complications which might occur are; profuse bleeding after the surgery which is similar to hematoma. Infection may occur due to the use of dirty equipments during the surgery or due to being placed in an unhygienic environment. And lastly, scarring can also be seen. If you work out regularly, it is advisable to quit lifting heavy weights for at least four to six weeks after the surgery.
Non-surgical breast lift procedure
A non-surgical breast lift can be done with the help of thread in the clinic and the patient doesn’t need surgery. The technique for thread insertion is straightforward, provided the practitioner is fully competent in breast anatomy and in taking a full breast and obstetric history, in addition to making a full breast examination. The procedure involves mild discomfort, some bleeding and post-procedural bruising for up to 10 days after.
The distance between the sternal notch and the nipple must be measured, which is generally eight to nine inches. This distance should reduce after the thread lift. A pinch test of the upper breast must also be conducted with callipers to measure the thickness of tissue – this thickness should increase after the thread lift due to collagen stimulation.
