In northern India nearly one percent (one in hundred) of the population is allergic to wheat. The problem remains unrecognized for years as most people and doctors have no idea how to diagnose or treat this disease.
If your child is suffering from frequent loose motions, is anemic, not gaining weight or is the shortest child in class, she/he should be immediately screened for celiac disease.
