Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder among women of reproductive age group. The pathogenesis involve multiple metabolic pathways that culminate in metabolic, reproductive and cutaneous effects. The hallmark clinical features of the syndrome are acne, hirsutism, and androgenetic alopecia and Acanthosis nigricans. Hyperandrogenism and hyperinsulinemia are key altered parameters which lead to the above mentioned clinical manifestations.
