Healthy Spinach Soup Recipe!
SPINACH (PALAK) SOUP
INGREDIENTS:
1. Palak
2. Oil -1.5 tbsp
3.Tej Patta
4. Garlic - 2-3
5. Onion - 1/4 cup
6. Spinach -1.5 to 2 cup chopped
7. Black pepper - as required
8. Salt - as required
9. Gram flour - 1 tbsp
10. Cumin powder - 1/4 tbsp
Recipe -
1. First, rinse the palak (spinach leaves) very well in water then chop them and keep aside.
2. Heat 1 to 1.5 tablespoon oil or butter in a saucepan or kadai. Add one tej patta (Indian bay leaf) saute for 2-3 seconds.
3. Then add 2 to 3 chopped garlic. Saute till the garlic is lightly browned or browed don't burn the garlic. Fry the garlic on a low flame.
4. Then add 1/4 cup chopped onions. Saute till the onions are softened. Add 1.5 to 2 cups chopped spinach.
5. Stir and season with black pepper and salt as required. Add 1 tablespoon besan or gram flour. Stir and mix well. Pour 2 cups water.
6. Bring the mixture to a boil and then simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder. Stir well.
7. Then blend with a hand blender or in a mixer till smooth.
