What is Heartburn?
Heartburn is the symptom of acid reflux and GERD; however, not everyone with acid reflux has heartburn and not everyone with heartburn has acid reflux. It is a burning sensation in your chest, just behind your breastbone. Heartburn pain is often worse when lying down or bending over.
