Home remedies for dark circles

Dark circles are the dark blemishes around the eyes. Dark circles are the result of lack of sleep and tiredness. Dark circles is caused mainly due to the inherited genes, allergies, skin that is  thinning under the eyes, overexposure to the sunlight, dermatitis, dehydration, smoking, anaemia, hyperpigmentation, frequently rubbing the eyes, glaucoma, thyroid conditions etc. The hormone that is responsible for the dark circles is cortisol. Dark circles are caused due to the deficiency of vitamin E, vitamin K, vitamin B12, vitamin D. You should eat green leafy vegetables, flaxseeds, fatty fish, walnuts etc in order to get rid of the dark circles. You should also drink the orange juice for curing the dark circles as oranges are a rich source of vitamin A and vitamin C. You should consult the doctor if swelling and discoloration under the eyes are not improving and are getting worse day by day.

 The home remedies for curing the dark circles are as follows:

  • Cucumber:- Cucumber is regarded as a very effective remedy for curing the dark circles. Cucumber is a rich source of vitamin C. Firstly chop the cucumber into pieces. Put these cucumber pieces on the eyes. These cucumber pieces help in reducing the swelling and help in soothing the eyes. So, in order to cure the dark circles, you can use cucumber on the eyes
  • Potatoes:- Potatoes are considered one of the most useful remedy in curing the dark circles. You can chop the potatoes into slices and then you can apply them on your eyes. You can also chop the potatoes and grind the potatoes. After grinding, the juice of the potatoes are taken out. Take the cotton and soak the juice in it. After doing this, put the juice of the potatoes on the areas of the dark circles. After 5 minutes, wash it with the water. This helps in reducing your dark circles 
  • Vitamin E oil:- Vitamin E oil is also considered an effective remedy for treating the dark circles. These oils have the properties of antioxidants and anti inflammation. You can mix the vitamin E oil along with the almond oil. After mixing both the oils, you can apply them on the areas of the dark circles. Continue doing this regularly for a month. If you do this on a regular basis, then dark circles start reducing and also the under eye puffiness is reduced. So, in order to cure dark circles, you can use the vitamin E oil. These oil don't have any side effect
  • Tomatoes:- Tomatoes also help in reducing the dark circles. Tomatoes are considered as the natural bleaching agent. They have the properties of antioxidants that help in reducing dark circles. Firstly, you can grind the tomatoes and make juice from it. Then, you can mix the lemon juice with the tomato juice. After mixing them, you can apply them under the eyes. After 10 minutes, you can wash them with cold water. You can also drink tomato juice after mixing the leaves of mint and lemon juice in it. So, if you want to get rid of the dark circles, you can use tomatoes
  • Using the cold tea bags:- Using the cold tea bags helps in curing the dark circles. You can use either chamomile tea bags or green tea bags if you want to see the rapid results. Cold tea bags helps in contracting the blood vessels and also helps in reducing the flow of blood. If you're having dark circles for a long time, then you can apply this remedy for curing the dark circles
  • Take the proper amount of sleep:- Sleep is very important for getting rid of the dark circles. Sleep at least for 6 hours in a day. If you don't take the proper amount of sleep then your skin tone becomes pale, thus, resulting in the dark circles. So, you should take proper sleep in order to prevent the dark circles.
