How Germany was able to flatten the curve?
1) Early diagnosis and screening. The government was proactive in screening and testing new cases. Preventive measures were taken to control community transmission
2) Being generous to the labour class. Government sensed the challenges faced by the labour class. They were generous to their people providing them food and shelter without thinking about their profits.
3) Good healthcare facilities were provided to the affected cases for prompt recovery
4) Old people were specially taken care of known that they are high risk to get affected
5) The path to lockdown was relatively smooth. When number of cases rised in mid march, schools, colleges, and most shops were closed and the country borders were closed too. People could still go for a walk or exercise but social distancing is the practise they have learned and are strictly following it

Hence the curve has flattened for them.
