Osteoarthritis Of The Knee Joint

Basically aaj main aapse osteoarthritis of the knee joint ke bare mein discussion karna chahunga ki osteoarthritis jo hai wo kis tarah ki bimari hoti hai, kya kya symptom hote hain, patients hamare pass mein kya complain leke aate hain jisse ki jin patient ko ghutne ki kaafi jyada problem rehti hain aur ghutne ki complain karte hain to patients mere pass me ayegne to sabse pehle main unka diagnosis karta hoon, unki osteoarthritis jo ho raha hai vo kyu ho raha hai. Osteoarthritis ek chronic degenerative condition hoti hai knee joint ki isme femur jo bone hoti hai, tibia jo bone hoti hai vaha pe degeneration shuru ho jata hai aur because of knee joint friction ke kaaran se jo knee ka jo space jo hoga wo kafi kam ho jata hai aur usme friction sound shuru ho jata hai aur knee mein ek certain time ke baad mein usme kafi pain hota hai, knee mein inflammation hoti hain aur patient kafi complaint karte hain. Osteoarthritis ki alag alag diagnosis hoti hai jaise ki grade 1 osteoarthritis hota hai, grade 2 hota hai, grade 3 aur grade 4. Grade 1 osteoarthritis jo hota hai usme knee joint space jo hai vo 20-25% reduce ho jati hai. Grade 2 osteoarthritis jo hota hai usme 25 se 40% knee joint ki space reduce ho jati hai aur grade 3 jo hota hai vo 50-75% knee joint space jo hai vo reduce ho jati hai aur grade 4 jo hain uss situation mein patient jo hai vo walk bhi nahi kar pata hai. Uski knee ke andar kafi pain hota hai, kafi swelling rehti hai aur kafi inflammation hota hai. To grade 4 arthritis ka patient ko hum directly knee replacement ke liye hum advise karte hai.
Grade 3 ke jo patients jo hote hai jisme knee pain ho raha hai, walk karne mein usko kafi swelling ho rahi hai toh hum physiotherapy ke liye hum usko advise karte hain ki at least 1 month, 2 months strengthening exercises karwa kar ke unko cure kar sakte hain. Patients ko hum jab clinic pe bulayenge to patient ka diagnosis karne ke baad mein hum usko sabse pehle jo quadricep muscles jo hoti hai vo kafi kamzoor hoti hain uska quadricep muscles ki hum unko strengthening exercise karate hain. Jab quadricep muscles ki strengthening achi ho jati hai uske baad mein knee ki jo surrounding muscles jo hoti hain jaise ki hamstring muscles hoti hai knee ki, aductor muscles hoti hain, abductor muscles hoti hain inn sab muscles ki strengthening karwa kar ke hum patients ko kafi jyada improvement dete hain but ek cheez main aapko batana chahunga ki knee ki jo conditions jo hoti hai arthritis, jitne knee me degeneration ho jata hai uss degeneration ka as a physical therapist main kuch bhi nahi kar pata hoon but usse jyada further degeneration nahi ho uske liye hum patient ko assure karte hain ki uske liye hum patient ko kafi achi jo strengthening exercise hoti hain vo hum patient ko batate hain aur diet plan bhi hum patient ko guide karte hain aur patient ko hum ek cheez aur bhi advise karte hai ki agar unko knee mein kafi jyada dard hai to hum patient ko bolte hain ki aap jo hai vo diet plan aap apni achi kijiye aur agar body weight jyada hai to body weight kam kijiye taki usse aapka body ka jo weight hoga vo aapki knee pe kafi kam hoga aur aap kafi ache se chal payoge aur hum patient ko bolte hai ki cross leg sitting jo hai vo nahi karni hai aapko aur straight limbing jo hai vo aapko avoid karna hai.
Kyunki straight limbing jitna aap karte jaoge utna aapki knee ke upar pressure ayega aur aapki ghutne ka jo dard jo hai vo badhta rahega aur ek cheez aur bhi maine notice kari hai ki patients humare pass mein aate hain, humse consult karte hain aur patient bolte hai ki sir 10 sessions ho chuke hain fir bhi humari recovery nahi aa rahi hai kyunki recovery ka sabse bada reason jo rehta hai wo patient pe bhi depend karta hai ki jo hum exercise jo hai vo yaha kara rahe hai aur fir kuch ek exercise aisi hoti hai jo patient ko hum ghar ke liye bhi advise karte hai to patient jo hai ghar pe nahi kar pate hai ya fir precautions nahi rakh pate hai jaise precaution mein maine bola abhi ki cross leg sitting jo hai vo apko avoid karni hai, straight limbing jo hai vo aapko avoid karna hai yeh 2 cheeze bahut hi important hoti hai ye jo aapko follow up mein bhi rakhi padti hai. Agar ye 2 precaution rakh rahe ho aur jo basic strengthening exercises jo hum batate hai patient ko ghar ke liye agar aap vo ghar par kar rahe hain to surely knee ki jo recovery hoti hai vo 30 days ke andar kafi achi ho jati hain. Agar recovery 30 days mein nahi aati hai aur iska osteoarthritis ka level agar aggravate hota hai badhta rehta hai to finally hum patients ko jo hai vo surgery ke liye advice karte hai.
Most probably jo patient physiotherapist ke paas mein aate hain to hum puri koshish karte hai ki unko without surgery hum cure kare. Few cases mein aisa hota hai ki patient follow up nahi na pata hai to unka knee ka pain aggravate hota hai to uske baad mein usko surgery hi ek option rehti hai. Isme osteoarthritis mein mai ek cheez aur batana chahunga ki osteoarthritis jo hota hai knee joint ka vo all of sudden nahi aata hai, uski starting ke kuch symptoms hote hain, starting main aapko basic knee pain hoga a one week rahega, fir later on vo continuous pain hota rahega. To jab continuous pain hota hai aapko starting mein symptoms aapko hote hai to aapko immediately physical therapist se consult karna chahiye kyunki physical therapist hi aap ko acche se advise kar payega ki kis tarike se hum isme exercise karke knee ko cure kar sakte hain, kis tarike se hum usko better bana sakte hain kyunki agar aap starting mein consult nahi kar sakte to aap agar in case aapne starting mein consult nahi kiya aur aapne 1 year, 2 year, 3 year wait kiya apne, aapne socha ki ye pain cure ho jayega but degeneration jo hota hai vo progressive hota hai. Degeneration agar ek baar knee mein ho gaya to vo progressive hone hi vala hai, isko stop karna bahut hi mushkil hota hai. Iske liye better rahega ki therapist se aap consult karenge to vo aapko kafi better jo hai vo exercise aur jo bhi therapy sessions ke jo protocol jo hote hain vo aapko bataenge.
