Piles (Haemorrhoids)
Haemorrhoids are usually caused by straining during bowel movements, obesity or pregnancy
- Usually self-diagnosable
- Discomfort is a common symptom, especially during bowel movements or when sitting. Other symptoms include itching and bleeding.
- People may experience:
- Pain areas: in the rectum
- Pain circumstances: can occur while sitting
- Anal: discomfort, itchiness, swelling, or bleeding
- Also common: constipation
Treatment consists of diet modifications and laxatives
Surgical procedure
Cauterization, rubber band ligation, freezing, sclerotherapy and stapled hemorrhoidopexy
