Here are some dietary tips to boost immunity to avoid viral infection-
A strong immune system helps to keep a person healthy. The immune system releases antibodies, which attach to antigens on the pathogens and kill them. Incorporating specific foods into the diet may strengthen a person's immune response.
1. Start your day with lemon in lukewarm water.
2. Use high citric fruits like amla, orange, lemon.
3. Increase use of herbs like tulsi, kalimirch, haldi.
4. Take a balanced diet which includes all food groups like milk, fat, vitamin minerals, fibre.
5. Avoid outside food and junk food.
6. Take green leafy vegetables to help ward off infection as they are high on fibre and also boost immunity. You can make a salad with spinach, broccoli.
7. Almonds are a great source of vitamin E, fibre, protein and omega 3, so you should eat them every day.
8. Onion and garlic should be added while cooking food, as they possess antimicrobial capabilities.
9. Take proper water minimum of 12 to 15 glasses.
10. Gargle with warm salt water at least once a day.
11. Maintain a healthy weight.
12. Exercise regularly.
