Treating Cancer With Thermotherapy or Hyperthermia!

Hyperthermia is caused due to heat stroke or fever when the temperature of the body is higher than usual. But it also used as a treatment method where heat is used to treat cancer. Hyperthermia is also known as thermotherapy or thermal therapy.

In this treatment for cancer, body tissues are exposed to high temperature. This high temperature is used to destroy cancer cells. It is also used with other cancer treating therapies like chemotherapy and radiation therapy. This treatment method helps in making the cancer cells more vulnerable to radiation. It can also increase the effects of some drugs against cancer.
