Vaginal PRP - Why Is It Required?

Hormones are directly responsible for the health of the human vagina. The levels of the female hormones oestrogen and progesterone change all throughout a woman’s life. When she reaches perimenopause and after her menopause, these two hormones can no longer promote the vagina’s health. What is PRP?

PRP procedure means injecting Platelet Rich Plasma into the walls of the vagina or into the clitoris. This plasma is extracted from the person’s own blood and once injected, it triggers multiplication of cells. PRP releases certain growth promoters that trigger the production of collagen and elastic in that thicken the mucous membrane. As a result, during sexual arousal, the vaginal wall becomes receptive to stimulation and starts secreting mucous that takes care of the dryness complaint.
