Children Eye Examination
Hello friends, I am Dr Minal Kaur I am a practising comprehensive ophthalmologist at my family clinic Greenfield Colony in Faridabad. My core areas of interests are a preventive health care, cataract surgery and medical retina. As my clinic name suggests my goal is to provide you and your family with total personalised eye care services. Coming this Children’s day around the corner I would like to discuss with you the eye care for your child. When suggesting an eye examination, we are commonly encountered with questions, like mere bacche ne kabhi koi shikayat nahi ki, ise ankhon ki examination ke kya zarurat hai. To counter these questions let me share with you with this brilliant infographics, as the caregiver we must realize that 80% of what our child learns is due to vision. Visuals skills are plenty, it is not just sight. It is a visual activity or how well do the eyes resolve things, eye teaming, eye focusing, eye tracking the eye head co-ordination as well as numerous reflexes in our brain which allows us to see and follow and fix a gaze in whatever position our body may be and whatsoever speed. Believe it or not, besides the routine refractive errors wind and the lazy eye, the child’s eye may also be affected by certain diseases that we assumed that occur only in adults or old age. These may be a cataract, Glaucoma, retinal disorders and rarely even cancers. The 15 years as an eye care professional, it has been a very rewarding experience seeing kids and how their visual systems have evolved, making sure that their eyes are healthy and ensuring that they have sufficient visual skills that will fulfil the visual demand in the coming years. Eyes are one of the most precious gifts of sights and I only emphasise more on our role in maintaining and preserving this gift. After all, 80% of blindness is avoidable. So at now be smart and book your annual eye checkups for you and your family. If you have any queries you can get in touch with me through this user-friendly platform by Lybrate.
