No, it is not true. The sex of your baby is determined by Sex Chromosomes X or Y during fertilisation. It is not depends on what you eat.

Sometimes skipping periods is not so much serious, if it is not more than 6 months, unless there is no pain in pelvic or any unusual diacharges.

The pain may be due to frictions and micro injury during intercourse. Birth control pills will not ease pain, it is not analgesic.
