Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)
Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)

Hi,

I am Dr. Poonam Agarwal, Gynaecologist. I will tell you about PCOS a very common condition found in young females nowadays. There is a rapid rise in incidence. It is becoming a common condition in our daily practice. What should we do about it? Few females starts developing male hormones and excess of female hormones. These hormones gets disturbed. It leads to irregular cycles. There maybe no periods for very long time. Other symptoms like acne, abnormal hair growth, weight gain, difficulty in conceiving which is known as infertility. What are the causes of it? Unhealthy lifestyle, stress full life, poor eating habits are the causes of PCOS. Eating lot of junk food with no exercise increases the risk of PCOS.

You should visit a gynaecologist if you are suffering from any of these symptoms. After this patient has to follow strict diet and regular exercise. Medicines have to be taken regularly. More important is to change your lifestyle. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Never skip your breakfast. Keep 10-15 minutes for preparing breakfast. Eat whole wheat, egg, milk, oats, walnuts, yoghurt. Mid-morning snack should be limited to a piece of fruit. Never miss the lunch also. Include vegetables in your lunch. Have dinner on time. PCOS increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol. This is not the only problem of today. This is for whole life. If you want to know more about, consult me through Lybrate.

Thank You

Uterine Fibroids
Uterine Fibroids

Namaskar!

Me Dr. Poonam Agarwal, senior consultant obstrician and laparoscopic surgeon. Aaj me apko gharbahsay rasoli ke bare me btaungi. Ise fibroids kehte hain. Ye ek tumour hai jo gharbhashay ki diwar me hote hain. Inhe leiomyoma kehte hain. Inka size chote mattar ke danne se le kar kafi bada ho skta hai. Ye hmesha cancer produce nhi krte. Lekin rare cases me cancer ho skta hai. 16 se 50 years ki age me ye bimari ho skti hai. 35 ki age me ye bimari 40-50% ladies me dekha jata hai. Menopause tak inki badhne ki possibility rehti hai. ye menstrual cycle me bhi problem krte hain. Heavy bleeding ke chances bhi badh jate hain.

Is se ladies me anemia and kamjori ho skti hai. Ye lower abdomen me bhi problem krte hain. Frequent urination, kamar me dard and constipation ka problem bhi ho skta hai. Pregnant ladies me ye abortion and infertility ka cause ho skta hai. Maximum ladies me iska koi symptom nhi hota hai. As per research fruits and vegetables ka less intake, excessive intake of alcohol fibroid ko body me promote krta hai. Regular exercise krna important hai. Ye ultrasound and gynecological treatment ke through diagnose kia jata hai. Agar lady ko iska koi symptom nhi hai to iska treatment important nhi hai. Agar inka size badh rha hai to iska treatment jruri hai. Iska ilaj dabav and surgery se ho skta hai.

Medicines se isko control kia ja skta hai but ise khtm nhi kia ja skta. Root se khtm krne ke lia iska surgery important hai. Open or laparoscopy ke through iska treatment kia jata hai. Is treatment se taklif and pain kam hota hai or 10 din ke andar lady apna regular work start kar skti hai. Agar lady ki complete family hai to isme pura garbhashya nikalna thik rehta hai. Quki gharbhasya rehne se ye dubara problem ho skti hai. Ye operation laparoscopy ke through kia jata hai and ise myomectomy kehte hain. Is operation se bhi lady ko kam preshani hoti hai. Ye ek suggestion hai ki har ek lady apna diagnosis ek gynaecologist se kra le or fir iska treatment jrur kraye. Iski or information ke lia aap mujhe Lybarte ke through contact kar skte hain.

Thanks!
